The First “Asia-Africa-Europe Scholarly Dialogue” was Held Successfully at City University of Hong Kong on April 8–9, 2026

On April 8–9, 2026, the First “Asia-Africa-Europe Scholarly Dialogue” was held successfully by China Green Building (Hong Kong) Council, Chinese Institute of Hong Kong, the China-Africa Institute, the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at CityUHK, and the Academy of Europe at the Lau Ming-wai Academic Building at City University of Hong Kong. More than 30 scholars and think tank representatives from Asia, Africa, and Europe gathered to engage in in-depth dialogue on topics such as social change and the development of the social sciences since the 19th century, as well as social space and green sustainable development. As one of the co-organizers, the China Green Building (Hong Kong) Council was honored to conduct the in-depth exchanges with scholars from different continents to explore the future development of green building and sociology.

The two-day “Asia-Africa-Europe Scholarly Dialogue” provided an international platform for discussions on “Social Change and the Social Sciences” and laid the groundwork for in-depth exchanges among countries along the Belt and Road. At the same time, this international academic conference opened up possibilities for future interdisciplinary collaboration between green building and social governance.
